3D Shadow Box for Light City Baltimore 2017

Deko Sofa is an art granted project for the Baltimore Light City Festival in 2017. My 3D Shadow Box consisted of seven hand-cut pieces of wood painted and assembled into the 6' x 2' x 1' box.

This 3D Shadow Box Mural project was funded through an art grant from Light City Baltimore because of it's utilization of light throughout the image. A drawing of a "creature" crawling out of the Potomac River was transformed into seven layers, which different lighting between each layer, installed snuggly inside a 6' x 2' x 1' box and finally installed on the back of a man-powered Deko Sofa covered in LED lights. This Deko Sofa offered Light City gawkers a ride around the Baltimore Harbor.
